Best Thing: scenes of london and paris
Worst Thing: random ex-girlfriend plot
I was a big fan of 'The Spanish Apartment" as it dealt with that issue of where to get your first job - and that bittersweet line between studenthood and adulthood. In the sequel "The Russian Dolls" the viewer has an opportunity to see where Xavier's choosing to not enter the French Public Service ,and instead become a writer, has landed him 5 years later.
Was it an act of choice and freedom or the rebellion of a commitment phobic Gen. Xer.? Watch 'Russian Dolls' and find out - once again the director triumphs in handling (30something) life issues against some fantastic new city locations - St. Petersburg, London and Paris. It is great to see films that aren't all set in New York or LA.
