Adaptation (2002) - User Reviews

Adaptation is a story about a screenwriter trying to write a movie from a book called "The Orchid Thief" by Susan Orlean (played brilliantly by the magnificent Meryl Streep). It shows Charlie Kaufman (the real screenwriter for the movie, played by Nicolas Cage) and his twin brother Donald (although he is made up, played by Nicolas Cage!) trying to make a script for a film from a "mediocre book". It also shows Orlean writing the book and trying to get ideas from a man named John Laroche (played, in an Oscar winning role, by Chris Cooper). Adaptation is an entertaining film that I would've given 3 1/2 stars but you can't give half stars in these reviews.
